Speechbobble Social Networking Customer Council

Organizations of all size will invest over US $4 billion in social networking applications over the next three years to unlock the value of conversations and collective thinking among customers, employees and other stakeholders. As a vendor participant, Speechbobble has experienced incredible growth since its launch and is at the leading edge of social software thinking and implementation for business, non-profit organizations, and government.

To keep at the forefront, Speechbobble has formed the Social Networking Customer Council™ to enable customers and business partners to promote their voice in the development of enterprise social networking solutions and the Speechbobble platform, in particular. With millions invested in the Speechbobble service to date and millions more to be invested over the next few years, the Council will have meaningful involvement in the technical and business activities of Speechbobble moving forward.

The Speechbobble platform has been built on contributions and feedback from our customers and partners. The Council will therefore help prioritize areas where we can achieve greater impact on social networking use in organizations through product design, collaboration with other companies, standards and effective licensing of our technology and service.

The main activities of the Council include the following:

• Raise, discuss and initiate action on items of general interest;
  
• Define, analyze, and endorse platform requirements for consideration by Speechbobble;
  
• Identify pervasive trends, issues and opportunities across all member activities and prioritize the best opportunities for consideration by Speechbobble;
  
• Promote the value of Council to the enterprise 2.0 community to enhance the visibility of the Council's role and contribution.
  

Organization

The Council, hosted by Speechbobble, will meet two times a year in Toronto. This may be augmented by web meetings as required. The Council will have direct contact with Speechbobble executives and product team so it can focus on issues that are of greatest importance to members.

The Council shall be chaired by Speechbobble. The Chair shall lead all meetings. A member of the Council shall serve as secretary and execute all record-keeping requirements of the Council including submitting copies of minutes. Committees shall be established to provide for small groups of interested members to engage in specific activities. Any Member of the Council may propose changes and/or additions to Council's operations. The Council will be supported by an instance of the Speechbobble service to facilitate collaboration, information exchange, voting, polling and completion of activities.
